Are our destines preplanned?

i don't believe in destiny. every person paves his/her own path. I think of it as a web kinda thing. every decision you make alters your future. you could think of it as a tree too. we start at the base of the tree when we're born and with every decision we make we move to a new branch. the top of the tree would be death, death in inevitable. we choose our own future through our decisions. some say deja vu is a glimpse of another future that we could have had.
