When do you use an AED on someone....? I am looking for the simple answer not medical lingo...thanks..?

When you find someone unconscious, you yell for help and have someone bring the AED. Meanwhile, you are essing respirations and heartbeat. If there is absence of either, start CPR. When they arrive with the AED, they need to be putting it on. Stop CPR and let the AED evaluate the pt. The AED will determine if the pt needs to be shocked. It will tell you to get back and shock if needed.
