93 Honda VLX600 Electrical Question?

93 VLX600 has been running fine until the other day. out on a ride in Pensacola and the bike just quit. I charged the battery and started right up then after a minute bike dies again. Could this be a Stator problem? Any Ideas greatly appreciate it.
